Tales of Boyfriends and Uncles...

So, today, my boyfriend accompanies me to my granny's(great-grandmother's) Christmas gathering and meets all of my mother's side of the family, or at least the ones that live in Missouri. When someone introduces him to my uncle Larry, the man is right in the middle of cutting the ham. And not gently, with a butterknife or something - no, going after the ham with a giant knife and a set of the giant prong things. Even that wouldn't be so bizarre if, not three days earlier, Adam hadn't come for Christmas with my dad's side and seen my Uncle Ross in the garage, in the process of skinning a deer. I had to explain that my family is not normally so obsessed with meat - since I am not much of a meat-eater myself, he was undoubtedly confused.

Then we hung out some with my cousins. My eight-year-old cousin Matthew proceeded to ask "Are you married?" His sister Abigail told him no, of course I wasn't married, then asked if I was engaged. This was all quite funny considering that I have only been seeing said boyfriend for four months, and that he had met no family other than the immediate members until three days prior to this.

That's my only randomness for the last few days, but more is certainly soon to come.
